shadcn/ui is an open-source component library by @shadcn. shadcn.io is an independent project built on shadcn/ui, offering blocks, templates and components for React, Vue, Svelte and Solid.

Previews are free for everyone. Every component, hook and example, the icons and the DESIGN.md files are free with a free account (Google or GitHub sign-in). Pro covers the code of every block, the premium templates, the MCP server and each animated collection's Pro items.

Yes. Browse and try every demo with no account. Seeing, copying or installing code takes a free account, and Pro code takes a Pro plan on top of it.

Yes. You can modify the Pro blocks and components to create derivative blocks and components. Those derivatives are subject to the same license terms.

All 6,231 blocks in 56 categories, for React, Vue, Svelte and Solid. Every block is Pro.

The 14 premium templates are part of every plan, each a full site you can start a project from. The open-source templates in the directory carry their own licenses.

Yes. The Pro items of the animated buttons, text effects, backgrounds and shaders (284 in all) are included. Each collection's free items need only a free account.

Yes. The MCP server is Pro only: 22 tools your AI agent can call, with setup guides for 38 clients. You get a personal URL from your dashboard's MCP page.

No. Every plan includes every block and template. The Individual, Team and Organization licenses differ in seats and in whether commercial use is allowed, not in what you can download.

Individual: one seat, personal and non-commercial use only. Team: up to five seats in one company, commercial use allowed. Organization: unlimited seats within the purchasing organization, commercial use allowed, with priority support.

A seat is one authorized user under a license. Individual licenses include one seat, Team licenses up to five, and Organization licenses unlimited seats within the purchasing organization.

Only with a Team or Organization license. With either you can create unlimited End Products for unlimited Clients, including commercial SaaS applications, commercial self-hosted web applications and websites for clients. An Individual license is for personal, non-commercial use.

Yes, with any license, as long as the primary purpose of the project is not simply to re-distribute the blocks. A conference app that uses them for its UI and publishes its source is an example the license gives.

No. You can't build a product that lets an End User build their own End Products from the Pro blocks: website builders, UI libraries, theme or template starter kits, admin panel tools and design kits based on the Pro block designs are all out.

No. You can't re-distribute the Pro blocks or derivatives separately from an End Product, neither as code nor as design assets, and you can't make a theme, template or starter kit from them for sale or for free.

Up to five people in the same company or legal entity on a Team license, and any number of people in the purchasing organization on an Organization license. An Individual license can't be shared.

Open Workspace in your dashboard, add a teammate's email and pick a role (Viewer, Member, Admin or Owner). They get an email with a link that is valid for 7 days, and once they accept they share the workspace's Pro access.

Workspace owners and admins can invite, and only when the workspace owner has Pro. Owners have full control; admins manage members and settings; members have standard access; viewers are read only.

Each member signs in with their own account, using the email you invited. The seat limits are the license's: five for Team, and members of the purchasing organization for Organization.

Every license is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. The plans section above shows the current prices for each.

It grants permanent access to all current and future Pro blocks and components for a one-time payment, with all updates released after purchase. It is available for Individual, Team and Organization licenses.

Write to support through the dashboard's contact form or at contact@shadcn.io. Deleting your account doesn't cancel billing, so cancel first.

You keep the right to use what you accessed during your subscription in existing End Products. You can no longer download new Pro blocks, receive updates or use newly released components, and the MCP server stops answering. To get them back, subscribe again or buy a Lifetime license.

Due to the nature of digital products, we typically do not issue refunds. Refunds are not granted when you have already downloaded the product, changed your mind, bought by mistake, couldn't implement the code, or give no valid reason. Consider your purchase before you complete it.
